Hi there! We went with silks from Angel’s Accents. Highly recommended if your wedding isn’t soon, as her ship dates fill up fast! Angel always responds really quickly, and she only uses natural/real touch flowers that look AMAZING!!! Both our coordinator and photographer actually put our bouquets in water because they thought they were real!!! She also emails you approve photos prior to putting the flowers in the mail just in case you want her to re-work anything.
We got married in early January, so I don’t have professional pictures yet. But here some:
I think the greateset thing about silks is that they can easily be rearranged into whatever you want afterwards (flower walls, wreaths, whatever!). Now that the wedding is over, we are posting them on Craigslist just to recoup some money! 🙂

you may want to check out Hobby Lobby then, about 4 aisles of anything you might want to put in a bouquet!

In spite of my real love to natural flowers, the bouqets above are masterpieces, very beautiful! Girls who make it themselves are real seamstresses

- Wedding: May 2015 - St Peter\'s Church, East Maitland, and Bella Vista, Newcastle
I got silk gerberas from Etsy for my bouquet and my bridesmaids’ bouquets – flowers were not a priority and I figured that with silk flowers, I didn’t have to worry about them wilting/dropping petals/etc etc and it was something I could organise early. I got them from the seller Jenny’s Flower Shop and was really happy with them – they’re all in a vase at our house now! Here’s a photo – it’s the only one I can get at at the moment, not a great one of the flowers but gives you an idea at least.

The main part of me wanting “fake” flowers is they will last forever! I love how you incorperated your own quirks, that is what a wedding should be all about I think! I was at my Aunts and she was like “oh wanna see my wedding bouquet?” And went up in her attic and pulled out her exact bouquet perfectly preserved. I was sold!!!

I can’t even handle how REAL these look!!!

I love how my friend has her wedding bouquet on display at home. I was definately thinking of silk flowers, but now i am getting married in a beautiful garden venue..? I didnt want my flowers to stand out as being fake or look obviously different when surrounded by real ones outside? Any thoughts Bees?

Ladies all your bouquets are gorgeous! I never thought I would go the silk flower route but the thought of being able to keep my bouquet after the wedding *love*

I got married in a garden and still did silk flowers. It looked great and no one thought it was strange. Why spend more than you have to when you have a beaitifu garden as a backdrop for your cememony? I have my bouquet on display and I know at least a couple of my BM’s do too. It’s nice for you and the wedding party to have something they can keep if they want. I also truly believe that unless the flowers look super cheap, no one is going to notice. Guests are looking at the bride and groom, not to see if the flowers are real or not.
This was our venue, so it was a lot of green and not many flowers in the main area of the ceremony, but there were flowers all around for guests to enjoy as they explored before and afterwards.

Thank you so much! I did switch it around a few times before I was satisfied with it, since I had the time. There are great tutorials online on how to put together bouquets, which is how I learned before helping my sister with her wedding 6 years ago. I am also pretty crafty, which did help a lot! If you have time, try putting soemthing together now, and if you are not happy, just make it your toss bouquet (if you do one) or use it for other decor.
I love your flowers every time I see them! The burnt orangey pallette would have been my 2nd choice if we had not done what we did for our wedding. I almost want to copy your BM’s bouquet and put it in my guest bathroom, since it is that color scheme.

Thank you! 🙂
The roses and hydrangeas both came from Michael’s. They were out when they started getting their Fall stuff in, and even had them in last year as well. The hydrangeas were in a different spot than the other normal hydrangeas they carry. I happened to be browing ALL the silk flower area and came upon them; thought the colors would look great with the roses I had already purchased. The colors were EXACTLY what I was looking for.

Incredibly in love with your gorgeous bouquet! How did you go about collecting the flowers from Hobby Lobby, how many flowers did you use, how long did it take to get enough flowers, and how much did each flower cost you roughly?
