@nmsmile:  Etsy is always a gamlbe because are dealing with the vendor, not nexessarily etsy. I would start talking with the shop owner, read the reviews and see how you feel.

That’s a complete gamble, but you could win! I’m doing custom dresses from China so I’m in the same boat. But I felt good knowing other bees had used them and seeing pictures of gowns they produced. 🙂

My bridesmaids got their dresses on etsy for  99.00 and all six of them loved them. It fits them so well since they took their measurements.

I was in a wedding recently and paid nearly 200 for my dress at david’s bridal and I hated it.  Once it came, I still had to get it taken in and shortened since I got the smallest size so in the end paid almost 240 dollars for it.

The dress I had my bridesmaids get from an etsy seller in china was WAY better quality.

I haven’t yet but i’m going to order from that shop. I ordered fabric swatches to choose the colour and she was very prompt and helpful, i know i’m taking a bit of a risk but hoping it’s worth it to save my BMs having to pay $300 for a dress.. I’m not ordering mine until June so if oyu do go with them i’d love to hear how it goes.

I bought my wedding dress off etsy with good results but I don’t have any experience with buying bridesmaids dresses or that seller.

@nmsmile:  Order early. The bridesmaids for my son’s weddings ordered from a Hong Kong chop via Etsy. It’s going slowly. Making for a nervous MOG, and bride. And bridesmaids.

Allow lots of time!

@bruinchick4:  I’ve been eyeing that seller for a while.  What do you think of the quality of the dresses?

I’ve actually been looking at the same dress! She has good feedback, but when I ordered just fabric swatches, communication was extremely difficult and slow. Shipping time was 7 days on the site. After 6 days, and no shipping notification I tried to inquire, however the store was closed for maintenance for a week, with no notification from the seller. When I was able to contact her, she said it would be another 5-10 days. I then let her know I was no longer interested in my order and to please refund my CC. She then emailed me that the order had shipped “a few days ago”. It took another day to get a tracking number, which showed that the package was shipped the day after I was told “it shipped a few days ago” I eventually gotthe package, but the whole process was frustrating and seemed a little shady. I’m not entirely comfortable spending $300-$400 on dresses with this seller!

@jdhall89:  The quality is really good! feels more expensive than some of the fabric I felt in bridal salons. The fit is perfect too..all six of my ladies won’t need alterations.
