I see a lot of nice engagement rings on etsy. I’m thinking about to order one there.
I’m looking for one with durable shiny white stone (either moissanite, white sapphire, simulated dimond – but has to be durable), 6 prong solitaire set, rose gold.
I’m in contact with a seller on etsy who sells moissanite ring. She mentioned that her stones are of same quality as Forever Brilliance / Forever One, just they FB and F1 are patented therefore are a lot more expensive. Could this be true?
Can you recommend reputed etsy shops? I don’t know if the rating is trustworthy as I’ve read that there are some rules that “restrict” negative ratings and comments.

My fiancée and I both got our rings from Annie at YerazCollection and I cannot reccomend her enough! She specializes in nature inspired rings but can custom make rings (as she did with mine). Though my fiancée and I both already had family diamonds, she works with sapphires and moissanites as well and her work is stunning. We are both in love with our rings! I’ve attached a photo here.

I would not recommend white sapphire for durability. It is a softer stone and I have seen some very worn and dull looking ones after just a few years of wear. Go for moissanite, Amora gem or diamond.

I’ve heard similar things about wtsy reviews. Idk about a reputable shop, maybe look for reviews where they post pics of the actual ring. I’m currently shopping for an artist to draw a portrait of me and Fi to put on our wedding invites and my top artists all have reviews with pics of the actual artwork. Here’s a pic of my Etsy ring, but it’s an antique sapphire, so it’s not what you are looking for. I just like showing it off lol.

erdbh : id definitely find out exactly what type of moissanite she uses. Make sure sure it’s made from the newest materials which I believe is called 4H SiC which will be colorless. Also the patent for Charles and colvard moissanite has been up for quite a while so many companies are producing stones from the same materials. The only reason F1s cost more is simply because of the Brand name and the fact that they come from the original moissanite suppliers. If these stones she uses are from India do not waste your money they are not the best quality. Look for moissys with the names Supernova, Harro Gem, and Zen.
My oval moissy is a Harro Gem and is from mymoissanite inc on Etsy. I had my wedding set custom made by EJCOLLECTIONS on Etsy whom also sells moissanite. I highly recommend both Etsy shops

This is my custom 6 prong, rose gold engagement ring that I got from Blue Sunflowers on Etsy! The shop owner Himi, is fantastic. I couldn’t recommend her enough. She was wonderful to work with and she doesn’t charge an arm and a leg. I had my own moissanite that I sent in to her but I know she also works with someone who sources her stones.

erdbh : have you looked at the loose diamonds on Etsy? Definitely worth a look before settling on something less durable.
