Etsy does actually allow you to review each of the vendors/products after you’ve made the purchase.

@luluvohn:  here we go!

Vendor or Store Name: CreateStamp

What You Bought: Custom Personalized Self Inking Return Address Rubber Stamp AS16

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: SUPER FAST. He made the stamp in one day. Ordered it Friday evening, it was shipped Sunday from Malaysia and took about 9 days to arrive at my doorstep.

Outcome: Super high-quality stamp for one of the lowest prices on Etsy.

Vendor or Store Name: chloescraftsuk

What You Bought: Custom order for two greeting cards for the wedding (groom’s morning-of card and card for wine box ceremony)

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: maybe a teensy bit slow on communication, but the cards were affordable and shipped quickly

Outcome: Really cute custom cards arrived to me quickly.

Vendor or Store Name: LaceandStripes

What You Bought: Custom kokeshi doll cake topper

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: Quick communication, customizeable cake toppers, super cute and arrived quickly. Didn’t come as one piece, so I have to glue the dolls to the base (annoying) and is very fragile (a button fell off the back of my ‘dress’ when I picked the bride doll up the first time) but they are really cute.

Outcome: Cute custom cake topper arrived quickly to me. Just slightly more high-maintenance than I thought it would be.

Vendor or Store Name: vonderberry77

What You Bought: wine box for our love letter and wine box ceremony

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: Slow communication, poor packaging. Our wine box arrived intact, but its a miracle, because it was packaged really poorly and the packaging itself was really beat up. The wine box is beautiful though.

Outcome: Despite slow communication and poor packaging, received really pretty custom-painted wine box for our ceremony in a reasonable amount of time.

Vendor or Store Name: iHeartMorgan

What You Bought: Custom bridal last name hanger

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: Great communication, special design request was fulfilled with no hassle. However, wire is more flimsy than I thought it would be, so I’m going to have to be very careful with it until and during the wedding.

Outcome: Friendly, quick service and hanger (despite being delicate) arrived to me intact.

Vendor or Store Name: luxedeluxe

What You Bought: Champagne pearl wedding earrings, IVANA

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: Didn’t need communication, earrings were shipped and arrived quickly and are GORGEOUS

Outcome: AWESOME handmade jewelry, heavy, high quality, beautiful and sparkly for a great price.

Vendor or Store Name: DiddleBug

What You Bought: Paper Bridal Bouquet

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: I can’t emphasize enough how helpful she was. Completely listened to my every need, customized, was very helpful and didn’t charge me for some extras (she added some extra lace to the bouquet for free). Great communication and super fast time for something that I expected to take longer.

Outcome: Stunning bouquet, one of my favorite things of my wedding.

Vendor or Store Name: CreativeCardStock

What You Bought: Digital Guest Book Pages

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: I was in a huge bind and needed to buy these ASAP the week of the wedding. She got them to me within an hour, customized and all.

Outcome: I was able to print off my cool guest book pages on time!

I’ve bought a bunch of stuff from Etsy, but I’ll just keep it to the wedding-related ones.

Vendor or Store Name: bettyjeansboutique

What You Bought: kraft paper tags for favors

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: never shipped, ignored my messages and the Etsy case; put her shop on “vacation” the day I opened the case

Outcome: nothing so far–no tags, no responses, just waiting for a refund from Paypal

Vendor or Store Name: RUBYGIRLDESIGN

What You Bought: custom stamped metal keychains with the coordinates of our ceremony location

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: seller was super nice and helpful ๐Ÿ™‚

Outcome: received two lovely keychains

Vendor or Store Name: YourUniqueKreations

What You Bought: wire wrapped pendants

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: seller was very helpful

Outcome: received all of the pendants quickly and they’re beautiful

Vendor or Store Name: ExpressionsStamped

What You Bought: stamped metal initial pendants

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: seller was lovely and created a custom listing for me

Outcome: received all of the pendants quickly and they’re beautiful

Vendor or Store Name: customringdesigns

What You Bought: custom titanium wedding band for Fiance

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: seller was great and understood exactly what I wanted (after no one else did)

Outcome: received a gorgeous band that is exactly what we wanted and we love it

Vendor or Store Name: wantsandwishesdesign (shop closed)

What You Bought: “Will you be my bridesmaid” bunting printable

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: seller was great and assured me that the word “bridesmaid” would be spelled correctly (haha)

Outcome: it was, in fact, spelled correctly, and the buntings were a big hit

I’m mostly commenting to follow, but I recently purchased a personalized cutting board for a wedding I am going to in a couple of weeks.

Vendor or Store Name: TaylorCrafts

What You Bought: Personalized Cutting Board https://www.etsy.com/transaction/130337467

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: Everything went well, they sent me the initial mock-up for the engraving and I asked them to change one thing and they got back to me within 24hrs. The item was shipped and here within 2 weeks.

Outcome: LOVE the cutting board, it’s good quality wood. My Fiance wants to buy one for us now! ๐Ÿ™‚

I use Etsy a quite a bit — here are my wedding-related purchases:

Vendor or Store Name: SarahMorganBridal

What You Bought: custom beaded sash

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: Sarah made me a custom beaded sash based off one of her existing designs… and she did it quickly, too (I think it took a month, including shipping from the UK).

Outcome: Absolutely gorgeous work! I can’t tell you how thrilled I was with the quality for the cost!

Vendor or Store Name: foryoo

What You Bought: return address stamp

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: She made a custom stamp with artwork done by my sister. Super fast turnaround.

Outcome: Great! We used it on all of our wedding stationary, and have continued using it for other reasons (like Christmas cards).

Vendor or Store Name: CLCOSTADESIGNS

What You Bought: veil

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: Quick responses to my messages, but it took me FOREVER to receive the veil. When I did, I didn’t love it and it didn’t match my dress, so I returned it — and it took FOREVER to get a refund. I left neutral feedback saying that the veil was good quality, and while the verbal service was speedy, the actual service was slow.

Outcome: Seller wrote me a private message ripping me a new one for leaving her bad feedback. I was furious. I do not recommend this seller at all!

Vendor or Store Name: spiffingjewelry

What You Bought: tie bar (gift for my dad)

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: Great, quick, custom service.

Outcome: Really nice, but a titch smaller than I realized, which meant it slid around a bit on my dad’s tie. He still loved it, though. ๐Ÿ™‚

Vendor or Store Name: Dalina

What You Bought: bridesmaids dresses for a friend’s wedding

What Went Wrong or What Went Great: Amazing! Dalina has the best prices for infinity dresses that I’ve ever found, she sends fabric samples, and she does quick, quality work. Took slightly less time than quoted.

Outcome: The bride was super happy with these dresses… and I’ve actually worn it again! Very pleased!
