Ahhh, after so many AMAZING experiences on Etsy, looks like my good luck has run out.
Over the last few months I’ve talked extensively with 2 vendors about 2 different things for the wedding (ties for the guys, and custom earrings for me), and suddenly BOTH vendors are MIA! Neither has sent me a custom listing or invoice, and I’ve given them each 2-3 emails over the past 3 weeks with no response.
Any tips, ladies? Should I just give up and look elsewhere? One vendor (for the ties) has a gazillion positive feedback, and the jewelry shop is just starting up so she just has 2. I had such high hopes!
Also, if you think I should give up on these two and move on, any suggestions for a great jewelry-maker or tie-sewer?

i would begin to look elsewhere. i can almost guarantee that you will find other talented artists on etsy that may even give you a better price than you were quoted originally.
have you tried making an alchemy request?
most people an etsy are regular people like you and me, and have a day job. maybe they just got busy or cought up in something else, and haven’t had the time to check into their etsy hobby lately.
i would try to find other sellers, as you can’t wait forever!

@anon12345: I just had my first Etsy let down a couple weeks ago too. It SUCKS! I say send one last Convo along the lines of “Hello are you out there?” and if no one responds, move on and find someone else. You can definitely find someone else to work with you, there are no shortage of vendors on Etsy!

SIGH. I thought that might be what you ladies would suggest. I guess I’m looking for other vendors now.
Thanks for the responses! @bakerella: It somehow makes me feel better that it’s not me!

@anon12345: I’m currently waiting for a refund of $350. Let’s just say I’m on pins and needles this vendor follows through with the refund because I have nothing but her word on it. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

@bakerella: Brutal! I really hope it works out for you!! Did you pay her through PayPal? Can you open a claim through them? You’ve probably thought of that already, but just thought I’d mention it in case.

I hope you paid with Credit Card you are protected . If you do not find someone to do the ties I can make them and I know how to make jewelry too.
