  • Selling commercial or mass-produced items in Etsy’s handmade categories is not permitted.


  • You may not list handmade items that you (or a member of your shop) did not create. This is considered reselling and is not permitted.

I found this on their site. It’s probably legal but definitely against their terms of use. It says to flag these shops when you notice them. It isn’t only a site for handmade products but these sellers aren’t supposed to claim it is handmade or have it in the handmade section.

@jessyrez:  not sure about being legal but I know this happens a lot. There is a website called regretsy.com that does posts about these postings that are either reseelling or are just ridiculous. It is a real fun read at times 🙂

edit: hmm never mind, looks like she is not doing the etsy posts anymore, shame because it was hlarious.
