mandapanda337 : I have only bought moissanite from 1 Etsy dealer but they sold C&C stones so a bit more expensive. Came with the card of authenticity  etc. It was good quality but I didn’t love the ring overall to keep it. Facetsandkarats. But I just wanted to comment that Wow, these are some great prices! I wonder if its rude to ask where they get their moissanite from?

Maybe you can research the manufacturer? Otherwise these stores seem to have a decent return policy so see if you like it and return if you don’t.

Here is one picture I took of it in indoor lighting

If you’re on a budget, I’d look at the StarGems and Tianyu threads. You won’t get a better deal than from them.

We bought my engagement ring from Etsy. It’s a 8 mm (2 ct. equivalent) Round C&C Forever One moissanite on a size 3.75 finger. Six months in, and it’s as beautiful as the day I got it. If you find that the stone gathers a little residue from lotions, etc, you can use silver polish and a soft toothbrush to clean it up.

I just looked around on the Etsy site and there are SO many selling moissanite! It’s a bit overwhelming to be honest. I forgot I did order something from Zhedora and was not impressed. It looked very cheap. I wondered if it was even moissanite but I didnt have a tester back then. I emailed for a return on the item 2 minutes after I opened the box.

hm2012 :  what!?! She said it was perfect when I tried to return it though 😮

I was able to get my husband’s money back through a charge back but she basically had the cash hostage for about a year and a half. Don’t even use Zhedora

mandapanda337 :  If I were you I’d be VERY careful with Etsy sellers. I went with a seller loveforeverjewelry and the quality was not good. The ring was suppose to be a Charles & Colvard H&A, but something was off. The Etsy moissanite looked a little too warm. And the 18k white gold (which i paid extra for) felt extremely light in weight.

I did a little research. I searched Alibaba and noticed you can buy knock off C&C moissanites WITH warranty/authenticity card for cheap. The same exact product photo of the Alibaba moissanite & card of authenticity is used on the Etsy seller’s page. Although I cannot be certain, I suspect the seller was doing a half ass job with setting. And using knock off C&C moissanites from Alibaba.

I quickly ordered from MoissaniteRings.com (needed ring fast after waiting 3 weeks for Etsy ring). I compared Etsy ring to ring from MoissaniteRings.com. I couldn’t believe it. The gems looked completely different in color. The ring from Moissaniterings.com was alot heavier (also 18k white gold), better looking in quality, and the moissanite looked beautiful.

Luckily, Etsy seller has a 100% money back return policy. So i happily returned the ring.

Couldn’t be happier with the service and quality of product from MoissaniteRings.com. Oh and Luaren kicked ass getting the ring to me in such a time crunch. Just be careful with Etsy. I learned the hard way. Good luck!
