I am pleased to announce everyone that my dress has finally arrived. Hallelujah!
There are a few alterations that i would like to make to it but overall it is very nice quality and fabric. Definitely worth the very cheap price i paid for it
I went home at lunchtime and it was there so of course tried on straight away. I took a bunch of very awful photos of myself in it complete with black tights, navy bra and boots.
Here is the original listing so you can compare http://www.etsy.com/nz/listing/159950300/vintage-inspired-lace-tulle-wedding?ref=related-0
I had sleeves added which are admittedly shorter than I wanted but i measured and they are the length i asked for, so my own fault.
I was just about to consider having them make a dress for me as well but I thought it seemed sketchy now after reading these posts I may reconsider with dressilyme. Did anyone recieve their dress??
Oh Gosh I didn’t even see the pics already posted, Sorry!! So it’s safe to order you think? I’m so scared!!! Are you ladies happy?
If you read through all the comments, we were all very paranoid. I was especially, because I had been waiting the longest and I even went so far as to file a paypal dispute (which i then cancelled) however when it did arrive my dress was made very well, it was made exactly to the measurements i provided and the fabric is lovely. @Aranell was also very happy with hers.
Kim at misdress in general is very good at communicating with you, sometimes it might take her a day or two – in my case, the delays were because there were some long public holidays but usually it is pretty quick.
Now that I know I can trust her I have gone ahead and ordered a second dress, completely custom. I emailed her a photo and asked if she can make this and she gave me a price.
It is completely worth it in my opinion, because they are so reasonably priced. I think you will be very happy. If you do order though, my advice is to tell her you need it much earlier than you do i.e for my second dress i told her i needed it by Christmas whereas the first dress I told her my wedding was in April so i think it got put at the end of the queue and all the rush orders went first.
I do have to say that I appreciate them posting pictures of their actual product rather then designer pics saying they can replicate. I get tired of seeing that from so many chinese companies.
Right now I am having a custom dress made for my wedding and I want to get a second for backup.
JBS changed their policies and is now getting people to pay for dresses and not showing them pics at the end of production so you have to upgrade to designer grade services. Ummmm no thanks.
