I e-mailed the seller. She said she mailed one to Canada yesterday and it was $40.29 because they do not fit in standard flat rate boxes. Darn.

@meetmethere2013:  My thoughts exactly.  I live in Victoria with is actually below the 49 paralelle! I ship things to the states all the time and $40 is crazy!
