I just wanted to take the time to tell other brides about me fabulous experience using an Etsy save the date design. After searching everywhere, I finally found the perfect template on Etsy but I was a little scared of how it would turn out. Seeing as how the design was only $12, I didn’t have much to lose. (The Etsy store I used was Vintage Sweet Designs, if anyone is interested). I chose a 4×6 postcard with front and back designs. After the final proof, she sent me both a PDF and a Jpeg of the front and back designs and although she offers to print them for you, I wanted to save a little money. At first I went to a local print shop and had a sample printed….it looked great but the shop didn’t have thick enough paper (I needed it to be thicker since it would be handled in the mail as a postcard, without an envelope…your local print shop might have more paper options and you can save tons of money doing it that way…it would have been around $30 to print 75!). So I ended up ordering 5×7 cards from mpix.com on the signature (130#) paper and they turned out absolutely fabulous! I am very picky about paper and photo quality and I could not have asked for anything better! I would highly recommend going this route if you see something you like on Etsy!! And it can end up saving you a few bucks!
