Captured Moments use to have a Facebook fan page as well, and it no longer exists.  However, before it was deleted, she had quite a few negative comments on it regarding invitations people had ordered, paid for, but not received.  Her shop completely disappeared around Christmas, and now she has a new one up, as mentioned before.

She also does photography, and left several brides (some since August) without photos, but also without their money they paid for!

I’m sad about this bc I really considered using her for invites bc she’s reasonable and does great designs.  I contacted her through both her old and new shop, and her response time varies greatly.  However, after talking to other brides about her services and reading reviews, I wouldn’t use her now after this.  Feel free to let me know if you need more information!

I’m really surprised to see this.  I used her for our STD’s and invites and had nothing but a good experience.  She worked with me to tweak design and color for both and was very accomodating when I realized I had made a text error in what I sent her for our invites- she even offered to give me a discount on a re-order if I wanted to.  (I opted not to because of the timeline for getting the inivtes out- my own fault for ordering late, not hers.. they arrived just when she said they would.)

I had seen that her reviews were at 97% too, but figured that’s still pretty darned good all things considered.  I’m surprised she would close down to start fresh.

Wow, I ordered her sample package shortly before Christmas, it arrived very quickly and I loved it.  I then sent her the information I wanted on the invites so she could do a mock up.  She never responded to me and I just figured out the other day that she deleted her page.  I was so disappointed because her prices were great and I loved her designs.  It is definitely sketchy that she deleted her shop to make a new one!

@missbiscuit: I was surprised too, bc up until recently, all of her reviews have been great.  However, when I look at her more recent reviews, the bad ones are pretty bad, not just ” she was somewhat slow on shipping”, but more “I paid, and I received nothing until I contacted Etsy” or some received nothing at all.  Some of the other reviews also state that she just goes through VistaPrint to upload her designs and the margins are wonky.  Maybe it’d be worth it to judt purchase the PDF form and go through Vista on your own then.

It makes me sad bc she’s so reasonable in terms of prices and her designs are amazing, but I just don’t want to risk it.

I just messaged her on her new shop asking her why she never responded to me on the old one.  We’ll see if I get an answer..

@mikaylav3: I would go back to her old Captured Moments by Amy page and read through the recent reviews, the good ones are great, but the negative ones are scary!

Hmm, yeah it’s really strange.. once it hits November it seems like she starts getting off track.  If she does respond to me maybe I’ll have her create the design and I’ll print them myself.  I love the design, and love the pricing, so it may be an option.  I’m disappointed though 🙁

@mikaylav3:  Maybe you should just do that!  From the reviews, it seems like she’s just doing them through Vistaprint, so I’m sure you could also.  Just do the “Upload Your Own Design” option.  Also, I bet it’s cheaper bc she has to be charging something over the regular cost to make money.

I can attest to the VistaPrint claim.  Our STD’s arrived with Vistaprint logos on the corners of our return address stickers, as well as with a coupon “for our next order”.  (Thanks Vistaprint!  I thought I ordered with Etsy, not you, but I’ll take the coupon! LOL)

The invites didn’t come with any of that, though… I’m not sure if she used a different printer or just got more clever about it.

Just an update for anyone who is interested in invitingmoments/capturedmomentsbyamy.  She got back to me on Thursday finally.  She said that she had techincal difficulties with her other shop and had to open a new one, and once she did she got overwhelmed with a ton of requests and has been getting to them one at a time.  Whether or not this is actually what happened, I’m not sure, but she did respond to me just this and has already made a proof of my invitation for me.  And that was after a bunch of back and forth with changes.  She has been nothing but kind and has responded extremely quickly to all of my changes.

Oh, and the whole vistaprint.com thing doesn’t really bother me.  I’m a bride on a budget, and considered ordering from vistaprint anyways.  Invitingmoments prices are really great, so I doubt I’d save much by purchasing the file and printing them myself.

It seems to me like something happened in her life that took her off track, and she had problems communicating it.  She has way too many good reviews for me to believe that she intentionally scams people out of their money.  So, I think I’m going to take my chances.  I have a ton of time until my wedding, so we’ll see what happens.

Please keep us updated!  I want to order from her, but am just too worried with what I’ve heard about people paying and not receiving their invites/her photography business not giving a bride her photos since august/other things.  Which is sad, bc I looove her designs-I bet your invites are pretty!

Wow, I’m glad I checked this as well! I’d fallen in love with one of her Save the Date Magnet designs, and she shipped me a sample package within a week. Please update with how your work with her goes, because I’d still like to use her this March/April if she’s fixed up whatever the issue was.
