If there’s a thrift store around you, you can get those seriously for a quarter apiece. But if that’s not an option, that’s a pretty good deal!

woo hoo! i’ve been collecting milk glass and in my area they’re only like 70 cents (bud vases) to 6 bucks (bowls) each. just so you know, one vase on it’s own probably won’t be enough for a centerpiece, especially since you’re getting bud vases. what i’ve been doing is getting some in different heights and i’ll group three per table of a tall bud, shorter bud and a different shape, like a bowl or other large-mouthed vase. also, unless your bouquet is a bunch of baby’s breath i highly doubt it will fit in a bud case, but this is a nice start!

I would also search Goodwill or Value Village for more. Milk glass is pretty easy to find there for comparable or less than what you paid. I’ve never seen it for a quarter, but a dollar or two a vase is the going rate in my neighbourhood.

Those are cute! I’m looking for some milk glass with a friend for her wedding, and the thrift stores have a ton, but they’re all about $8! So that’s a great find, for my area, at least :).

@mandb122: gotcha! if you find a stubby oval milk glass bowl then that might be cute to prop up your bouquet in

with the size of rose stems, you may not be able to fit many in without it toppling over, so if you find more, 2 in different heights might work for the size of your tables. i know that when i set out a bud vase on my 4 person dinner table it looked pretty dinky, so that’s why i suggest grouping. you can’t fit in more than 2 or 3 “big flowers”, so coupling them would make more of an impact.

@mandb122: same here! i don’t have any “normal” large-mouthed vases, but this is my flower inspiration:

i think we’re going with a more modern venue though, so not sure if it will still work!
