Hello ladies!

I am currently looking at wedding dress options for my budget wedding, and have come to the conclusion that my best bet for a beautiful and affordable wedding dress may be online. I have been scouring etsy looking at wedding dresses, but there are just so many store options. I am looking for anyone who has had experience with wedding dress shopping on etsy, and would love to hear your recommendations! Plus, if you did buy a dress that you loved/hated online, please post pictures!!

Thank you for the help,
Autumn

- Wedding: September 2014 - Cadillac mountain
I bought my dress from Autoalive on Etsy in May. I read lots of reviews about shipping taking quite a whole & I wanted time for alterations if needed, so I told her I needed my dress for an Aug 10th wedding. My dress shipped on the 21st of July from China & didn’t arrive in Maine until the 8th of August! I was told my dress would ship via UPS but instead it shupped via anther carrier with longer shipping times.
The dress ordering process was pretty simple, I had it custom sized (a surprise $25 dollar fee that wasn’t advertised). During production I checked in with her a few times & never recieved the mid production pictures (the etsy listing said they would be included)
The dress itself is beautiful. It is knee length and all over lace which is exactly what I wanted. It is very well made – the seamstress doing the alterations was quite impressed.
The biggest downfall once I finally got the dress was that it didn’t fit! It has TINY arm holes so I end up with T. Rex arms! Not great, but it was an easy fix for alterations. Size wise, it’s a great fit. I’m plus sized & quite chesty so thats always great.
here is a picture from the etsy listing
And then this is from the first alterations visit (my arms dont fit in it right so it lays weird)
