I have a champagne sapphire in a yellow gold setting that is squared off on the bottom and it is so comfortable. I do believe they can be sized. I think it adds something special to the look.  That ring is stunning by the way!

My mom has her rings like that it’s post help them from spinning. greeneyedbee :

We recently just finalized my ring and I’m going for the euroshank! I have gone in three times and each time I’ve put it on, it’s been incredibly comfortable and honestly I don’t even tell a difference with the exception that the ring is less likely to try and spin around my finger.

I don’t have a picture of my ring yet, but it’s a ring from the Seasons of Love collection by A.Jaffe; it will be made from platinum and have a 2ct equivalent moissanite in a hearts & arrows cut. Waiting now for official proposal and once that comes I will be happy to post photos!

edit to add: it can be sized! I am between 4 and 4.5 so we are getting it sized as a 4.25 for a happy fit 🙂

You can do a normal one too.

you can definitely do a normal band of that size with the euroshank band. If you want them soldered together eventually then maybe consider finding a band that is by the same designer with the euroshank? I think that would be the one detail that would bother me — different band shapes on bottom — if I go solder route. If you want to be able to mix and match then it’s not really an issue at all!

You can wear a normal band with it, I do and it’s fine can’t tell a difference. greeneyedbee :
