Hi Bees, I am new to all of this world of gowns! I just got engaged. And yes, I went gown shopping already here in NY. I found two dresses. I stumbled on Wedding Bee and OMG this is the best site ever to talk to my fellow bridal world.
Well, the two gowns I found are Eva of Milday (I think thats how its spelled).) Shown Below and One by Lee Ann Belter. I am sooooooo confused about fabrics right now.
Has any lovely bride had tried on either line or bought, that could tell me more about either line! The bridal lady I worked with, didnt know much. Just said. They were nice gowns and best quality.
The Eve dress is just so nice but a bit more ;-(. But Lee Ann Dress is more laid back. Opinions Please on either would be great! I know two different looks. Call it my split personality! Hehehehehehe.

I definitely prefer the first one, but that is based on my style. I don’t know what your personal style is. Both dresses are beautiful!

I prefer the first one better!
I notice it says your wedding day is about 2 1/2 years away…. Might be a lil too early to buy a dress thou. That’s a long time away!

Hard to say without seeing them on you.

If your weddng is 2 1/2 years away, I would suggest waiting to buy a dress. I bought a dress 3 weeks after I got engaged in March 2012. My wedding is July 3 of this year and I just went to put a deposit on my dream dress today. You really should picture a dress style and the details of the dress that you feel would make you look beautiful and hunt for what you have in mind. With so many options out there, u won’t regret the wait to find the ultiimate dream dress

The first is lovely, but I agree that you should wait. I too have finally found my dream dress after being engaged for over a year and I was dead set on one for most of that year! Anyway, good luck & congratulations!

I loooove Eve of Milady and that second dress is just amazing! Not really a big fan of the first one.

I personally am not a fan of the positioning or style of the lace on the Lee Ann dress. I think the Eve of Milady (as in “my lady” not Milday) is quite stunning!

A thousand times the first one! I am partial to lace gowns, I think the first dress is such a romantic and timeless choice. And as much as I also love tulle and ball gowns, I think the second is a little OTT. Plus, and I don’t know how the dresses fit on you, but I would be concerned that the waist of the second gown isn’t as flattering.
LOVE the first gown.

- Wedding: August 2013 - The Liberty House
Neither of them is particularly my style, but I think you should wait to develop your vision of your wedding a little more. Do you have a venue already?

@NEWBRIDE2016: This is the question you need to answer:
Which style looked better on you?
What sort of wedding are you planning, formal or informal?
But as other Bees have said you have 2.5 years to go, there will be a lot of new styles coming out and you will also have a better idea of the type of wedding you are planning. They you can pick a beautiful dress that fits in with the wedding style and really makes you rock. Wishing you lots of happy days planning.

The dresses are so so far apart in style. i think you should take time to figure out what you really want.

Without seeing them on your body it’s hard to say, really. Take some time…You have 2.5 years and styles can change a LOT in that time.

Im a Eve of Milady sort of girl, my dress is the sister line Amalia Carrara. So my vote goes for Eve of Milady.

Hi Ladies, I am not sure how the commenting works. But I seen many replies and comments when I got up this morning. But now I don’t see any. Weird.
I want to say thanks so much for all the feedback you wonderful ladies have blessed me with. I think I am super excited and want to get things done now. To answer some of your questions I seen, I do not have a venue yet, I do not have a wedding planner yet, I am a size 8 with nice size hips ;-). My style is feisty (is that a style…;-)) but I am feisty one at times but very modest at the same time.
Its confusing because they both are so nice to me and feel great on. I didnt think about the fact my wedding date is so far away! LOL. I am still in the moment I guess.
I also did not factor in that styles may change in 2 years. Like, I didnt even think that mattered really if I like the dress. These are some expensive gowns to!
Ladies, your feedback has been great and I think I might need to slow it down a bit before we pay for any dress! Also, the lady said it would take 9 months for Eve Milady to make that dress for me. Thats a darn long time…lol.
Again thank you!
(I am totally going with a Formal Look)
