nameless :  just wanted to chime in and say I’m literally in the EXACT same position as you, about a week behind.  I got a “pregnant” on a clearblue test on Sunday, then a “not pregnant” on the same test Monday afternoon and a “pregnant” Monday night.  AF was due on Monday.  I have been using cheapies and FMUs (blue dye though) and each one has a line but it is SUPER faint.  When I was pregnant with my son (21 months ago) I got one faint line on a cheapie, a darker line the next day and then a “pregnant”. the lines never stayed light or got lighter.  I suspect either I O’d later than expected (fingers crossed) or this is a chemical.  I’m seeing the dr for a blood draw in 2 hours.

nameless :  Thanks!  Same to you.  With my son, I knew nothing about HCG levels, beta, progestorone, etc… so I have a feeling, I’m going to be googling way more than I should between the blood draw and the results.

I just read this whole thread for the first time – so sorry you’re going through this!  I hate to be a debbie-downer, but I would think with betas a week apart that only a little more than doubled, it seems very unlikely that it’s a healthy pregnancy.  I’m certainly no doctor so I could be wrong, but it doesn’t sound promising.  I had a similar situation with my first pregnancy – (long story short) I got a really late positive, with tests barely getting darker.  I had some sharp cramping so went to the doctor – beta way lower than it shoud’ve been at that point, and an ultrasound confirmed it was ectopic.  I really hope that’s not the case with you!  If it wasn’t for your second beta number, I would be totally convinced that your dates were just off and it was fine.  But to me the betas show that something’s wrong – whether it’s ectopic, blighted ovum, impending miscarriage, etc.  I hope I’m wrong!
