@SpecialSundae: Agree! It’s a beautiful ring and I like that it appears to be low profile, which is more practical.

Lovely. Although in the UK didn’t we discuss recently that a 2 carat (or slightly below) is considered pretty large in comparison to the norm?

None the less it is very pretty. Definitely good taste.

Huh. I never would’ve expected that. I wonder if that was her preference or what? Her husband isn’t royal but he’s a professional athlete, surely he has money?

There was someone on Pricescope who once posted all sorts of rings of the royals. She included tons of photos of everything (family, wedding photos, the rings and other jewelry/jewels) if I recall. It was ridiculously fascinating and I wanna say it was, like, 20 pages long. I guess she was an enthusiast to say the least. Let me see if I can find it.

I eat this sort of stuff up! Great thread, SpecialSundae!

Understated ring, somewhat non manicured hands, she strikes me as low maintenance for a royal!

The royals have true class, they dont need big bling just so that they can somehow show they are better than others. Even though kates ring is big it is a. A sapphire which is not a vulger as a diamond and b. sentimenatl and c. Second hand – although who woulnd want to wear dianas ring

Its nice to see even a royal has a practical ring ๐Ÿ™‚

Personally i dont like HUGE rings. I just dont see the point of having a huge diamond on my hand that now i have to worry about not losing or getting stolen all the time. Maybe im just a worry wort but its just not my thing. I think the UK has it right, smaller PRACTICAL rings just make more sense ๐Ÿ™‚ Again my personal opinion, for those of you with GIGANTIC rings im sure that is exactly what you wanted. As long as you like it, it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks ๐Ÿ™‚
