(Closed) Evening buffet?

Seems sensible - order for half numbers

    Don't be stingy - order for 100-120

Why bother with it at all.

No.  Just like most people,  i eat 3 meals a day.  I may be full at breakfast,  however i can assure you that i will be hungry for dinner.   As would your guests.   They will also arrive expecting food.   And probably won’t eat ahead of time.

Will the day guests be involved in wedding activities all day? Is the wedding breakfast served in the morning with nothing else served them throughout the day? How late is your party going to go?

You should plan on everyone eating. Even if I had dinner at 5, if I’m still up and moving around and dancing at 9, I’m probably gonna want something to eat. And it’s always nice to have something to snack on if you’re partying, especially if there’s alcohol involved.

Were doing dinner at 5 and then evening food about 8.30 (ongoing for an hour or so) but we arent doing a full evening buffet, just mini pizzas etc and cake. I think people will still want some food, even if its just to tick them over or to nibble on. Our venue told us to cater for 100% of the evening guests and 50% of the day guests. So with your numbers I would probably order for around 80-90. You dont need to order for the full 120 but definitely more than half just in case.

I’m a grazer.  If I had eaten dinner at 5 and you brought out snack type food at 9 I would definitely eat again.
