Not sure if you have homeowners insurance, but ours was just a one page rider they attached to the policy for the day.

@SavBride:  Do you have home or renters insurance? I used to work for Farmers Insurance & we could add an endorsement to clients home owners policy for special 1 day event coverage & provide the insured with a certificate.

@SavBride:  Travelers does wedding insurance specifically, it includes a lot of coverages like photo re-takes, gift theft, liquor liability and a ton of other stuff, it’s rated off your budget, to they’re worth a look.

RV Nucchio also does event insurance, they’ll do anything from turkey shoots to helicopter rides, if you go to their website, you can get a quote right then!

@SavBride:  Our venue required event insurance, and after much reviewing we went with WedSafe. We paid around $100 for up to $1 million liability, and it included both our rehearsal dinner/set up and wedding day.

I remember reading about a lot of brides that were able to get riders on their homeowners insurance for their wedding and we looked into it as well, but ours didn’t offer the minimum liability requirement ($1mil) for our venue so we had to seek event insurance elsewhere.
