We are getting married in Jamaica in June – However we decided to hold a big reception in our hometown the weekend that we get back into the states. We have chosen a venue, it isn’t the most gorgeous of places but I figure that with some drapery and some handy decoration work it could really be turned into something. Our finances are tight and this was one of the few options that were acceptable and met all the requirements. It is really going to take a significant amount of work to turn this place into something magical.
I was wondering about those who have used planners? I am looking at spending a fair chuck of change to have someone help me with the reception decorating, if I hire it will just be to help with decorations – I have a good grasp on what I want for food and such. Would you suggest a wedding planner? Did it ease some of your stress any?
