This whole week, I have just felt like my hair isn’t laying right, my makeup isn’t going on right, like I’m extremely bloated, etc. It’s frustrating! Especially since I’m meeting a bunch of SO’s relatives today!
Anybody else go through this from time to time?

YES!!! For bloating drink more water and try Gas X. Mentally…just try to think positive. You’re not alone, though! =)

You’re so not alone. And try to remember that a lot of that is self-consiousness, and that no one will see all of the flaws you see. They’ll be too busy oohing and aaahing over the food spread. Hope you feel better and have a nice time meeting his family!

@pokie45: Yes, I go thru it allot. I am currently 80 lbs over weight and hate looking at myself in the mirror.

I totally have those days!! My poor Fiance has had to deal with waiting for multiple outfit changes & what I call “fat fits” over the years. He’s so patient and has really learned how to say the right thing. The first few years he was terrible at it. Once I asked how I looked and he said “You look really cool, you look like a pirate!” It was not Halloween!! And he had no idea whey I was upset.
But I find that even though it doesn’t really change how I look in the moment, I always feel better when I exercise before I go somewhere I’m nervous about even if I just get 20 or 30 minutes in. I run through so many thoughts in my head when I’m getting ready to go to a social event like that, and then I have to remember that pretty much every time I get to the event, I have a great time, and no one else is really concerned about my hair or about me being bloated. And I waste so much time worrying!!

I do, for sure. I’ve gained some weight and I can feel it just sitting on my body. And I desperately need a haircut!
I find if I take a bit of extra time to do things that make me feel better — wearing my favourite mascara, finding a nice pair of pants to wear, whatever — that it makes a decent difference.

Aww! Totally have been there! This is going to sound funny, but the days right before I get my eyebrows threaded (especially if i’ve waited just a bit too long), I actually feel like a manly hairball. I agree with PP about thinking positively – and what also helps me is getting in some sort of heart-pumping cardio-like activity. It releases those happy hormones that make me feel less like jumping out of a window.

Yep, My hair is due for a trim and over due for a re-perm, so it never seems to want to cooperate anymore. I recently have started wearing glasses again because my eye doc doesn’t want me wearing contacts as often. If I’m feeling even a little bloated on top of that, it makes for a bad day.

Yep. I have bad hair weeks when my hair starts getting too long and heavy and the weight kills any body it might have. Then it’s time for a trim pronto!

Oh absolutely! Yesterday I had on 3 different pairs of jeans and 2 different shirts because I felt too uncomfortable. I got my pop belly back and I need to get rid of it! Going to the gym tomorrow!

OMG yes! I have weeks where no matter what, I can’t get to work without changing (and ironing) at least two outfits, I hate my hair and need my brows waxed. Like others have said, a really hard, sweaty workout helps tremendously, oh and a good pair of Spanx 😉

Alllllll the time. I feel so bloated and gross right now and I’m trying to drink lots of water but it doesn’t help that I work in an elementary school where the heat is only on in offices and classrooms so it’s “don’t pee” or “freeze to death.”
I gained a couple pounds and Fiance doesn’t notice or so he says (I believe him) but I can’t stop googling liposuction ㅠ_ㅠ
