I’ve done it before.  If you don’t need more than one shade, I would just go the crest white stips route and not use the whole package.  Just a few days worth.

I’ve done crest white strips, rembrandt 2 hour whitening, and dentist whitening.  I would say for one shade whiter the rembrandt one would totally work and it only takes a couple hours, instead of a couple weeks.  The dentist one was great but expensive.  I absolutely hated Crest White Strips.  I didn’t notice a difference at all with those and they made my teeth so sensitive it hurt to breath let alone eat anything cold or have a cup of coffee.

I’m with redhead. Get the Rembrant 2-hour kit… but be sure to use it soon, because for me the sensitivity lasted a few days. You don’t want to try using it right before the wedding, or you’ll be miserable- especially with all the smiling you have to do ALL day!

I actually reviewed the kit here: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/watch-me-whiten-my-teeth-rembrant-2-hour-whitening-review

The photo quality isn’t the best (i had a hard time getting consistent lighting in my bathroom), but it gives you an idea of how well it worked.

I did it…it kinda hurts! I did it using the stuff they give you at the dentist office, but I used it at home. Took about 2 weeks to get full results…and honestly it turned out more of a natural white than white white once the teeth ‘calm down’ as they say. They said they can do it on the office but it’s painful and you ahve to sit there so lond and ur teeth appear stark white emmediatly after but again, once the enamel calms down it will return to a more natural white usually. But it worked great for me to get the any stains off.

I’m currently using the crest white strips. I’ve used them a few times before, and they work surprisingly well! My teeth are pretty white anyway, but the strips make them REALLY white.

They definitely make my mouth really sensitive though, so I usually use them every other day instead of every day like you’re supposed to. You’ll notice results after just a few days, though, so you might not need the whole package.

I asked my dentist about it a few years ago, and he said it’s ok to do once in awhile. More than once a year can be trouble though.

I have white teeth naturally.. or I would if I didn’t require coffee to function.

So I use the Crest WhiteStrips twice a year to remove stains, and they really work for me. As long as you get the “Advanced Seal” kind which stay on and aren’t gunky like they used to be.

While I’m whitestripping I brush with a sensitive toothpaste, and carry a little tube of it in my purse to dab on my gumline if sensitivity strikes.

Like a PP suggested though, I would definitely stop a good few days before the wedding: both to prevent sensitivity, and also for any places in your enamel that have been dehydrated (white flecks/streaks) to return to normal.

I used what they said was the best on the market “Dr Georges Teeth Whitening at Home Kit”  apparently has the best reviews and was used on Oprah Winfrey’s show.  To be fair, I did see results within the half hour they say and people have commented on my teeth since.  You get a blue LED light to pop in your mouth with the mouth guard and you look a bit silly but it works like magic!

i took a chance and did the zoom whitening procedure five days before my wedding (friend is a dentist and did mine for free)…it was THE BEST decision I ever made to get them whitened!  I didn’t do the full three sessions (typical)..my teeth got too sensitive so i was afraid they wouldn’t feel too great during the wedding..after a day of brushing with sensidine, they went back to normal.  I’m glad I got the whitening done (even the shorter version) as my teeth were more noticeably whiter in all my wedding photos!
