I’m talking everything. Maybe you pick out the dress and colors/theme and basically just show up to your day?
I’m strongly considering this as my mother and aunt are so gung-ho about my wedding and have so many ideas (and are willing to shell out the cash, more than generous,) that I think I might just have them plan the whole thing.
The Fiance and I would elope and be fine with that but it’s important to me to have my mother there and this wedding means a lot to her. I want her to have her day just like we get to have ours. I trust both my mother and aunt and I’m sure they will make it beautiful. I’m a control freak so I think giving up COMPLETE control is my best option. Anyone else ever do this?

@mousepeach: no but I wish I did LOL! If you can’t deal with the stress of it all I would suggest it:)

haven’t done it – but i always joke that when i get engaged my mum will pull back a painting to reveal a giant red button – push it and then my entire wedding will be done. and you know what? it would be awesome – she is famous for her events 🙂
so i see where you’re coming from. as long as you get veto power if you catch wind of something nuts, i would definitely consider it!

Unfortunately I have no one to do that for me. But if I could afford it, I surely would invest in a wedding planner!

No but i do this for others and for non-control freaks it works fabulously!! Just pick someone who shares your style and tastes.

I didn’t do this and I don’t know how interested I would be. I wanted my parents to be happy but I also wanted our day to reflect us as a couple.
