Um, no. That sounds really odd of her to do

I don’t get why it’s weird… my ring is covered in my fingerprints, and I don’t think other people’s hands are dirty, or going to smudge it. They’re just people – sure, it was weird for her to grab at your ring, but her actual fingerprints aren’t dirty. There wasn’t much need to rush home and clean it… unless her hands were obviously dirty or something?

I think it was odd…I would never do that to someone’s ring.  If they even had me touching it in the first place I would be very careful to not get fingers all over it…it seems like common sense to me to just be cautious about that.

Is it really that big a deal?

@atacrossroads:  right?

I mean it was a weird thing to do, but feeling the need to clean your ring is a little overdramatic. your hands were probably equally as dirty from just being out shopping. I’m sure that the ring would have gotten clean enough the next time you washed her hands.

Eh? What’s wrong? Did she have MRSA all over her fingers or something? lol

Definitely a bit strange! I can understand a friend or family member touching the ring, but why a stranger would feel the need to rub their fingers all over it is beyond me.

No, and that would be weird, but so easy to clean, so who cares, no?

That is strange.  I only had a lady I work with, get up close to my hand and put her fingers on the band of my ring.  My hand was on my desk and she just kind of leaned in.  I scooted away quickly, because I found it awkward. lol

I could see how that would bother you. I would never put my hands on someone or their jewelry. It is kind of weird. Don’t feel bad about posting something like this because it was harmless.

I’d probably go wash my hands right after. I don’t like people in my personal space bubble, especially during flu season.
