I think I tried some ages ago, but can’t remember the brand. I think its supposed to flatter blue eyes and is more subtle than black

i have and i didn’t love it.  i’m blonde / blue eyed, and i felt it made my eyes look red, like i was sick.  i’ve done the blue mascara from bad girl lash, and that was better, but nothing really compares to the black for me.  but, i like full dark lashes as opposed to a natural look.

No but I would be willing to try it. I have green eyes and I often use purple eyeshadow to make them pop.

I use Plum eyeliner and I love it. You can’t really tell it’s plum but sometimes you can. I got it at Clinique.

I have blue-green eyes and LOVE plum eye makeup.  Plum mascara is fun for something different, but I don’t like it for every day use… it’s just a bit much.  If you want to use plum to make your eyes pop (I find it does wonders for green eyes and light brown or reddish hair gals), try plum eyeliner.  Clinque makes a great one (I think it’s called “grape”).

@MacFaniam24: I don’t wear a ton of eye makeup, so for every day I wear brownish-black mascara (plain black makes me look like I have circles under my eyes, strangely), the Clinque plum eyeliner*, and a slightly sparkly neutral-colored shadow.  When I get dressed up, I add a plumy-brown shadow in the crease and a smokey plum color on my lids.  I have also have good luck with light green shadow on the lids (sounds odd, I know, but totally works with the plum and my eye color).

*The Clinque eyeliner I use is called “quickliner” –  http://www.clinique.com/templates/products/spp/index.tmpl?ngextredir=1&CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY4897&PRODUCT_ID=PROD516 – and is super cool because it never has to be sharpened.  Also, it comes in two plum colors – “grape” and “violet.”  I just checked, and I have the violet, which is a browny-purple (warmer shade).  The grape is a bit more blue (cooler shade).  If you have blue eyes, the grape might be better.

It sounds interesting, but my eyelashes are naturally black so I think regular old black mascara is the one for me. I have blue eyes and generally go for a dark green eyeliner instead of brown or black, which looks too harsh. Sounds crazy, but seriously–try the green. 🙂

Plum colored mascara is meant for green eyed girls. Being one, I have some and love it. It’s really good for everyday, (it’s hard to find colored mascaras that focus on volume, length, etc.) and makes my greens pop. If you have blue eyes you’ll want something with more of an orange/gold tint.

Not a big fan of plum mascara, but i do recommend plum liner for all blondes. Looks amazing and really makes your eyes pop.

Never tried the plum mascara but I second (fourth?) the suggestion of an eggplant coloured liner.  It’s a little softer than black and makes eyes pop.
