@Katie918:  UGH.

I work in what is supposed to be a creative environment.  It houses all different types of personalities but most people are pretty laid back and social.

EXCEPT for this one guy who edits copy.  He needs it to be quiet and concentrate which I get but he RUINS the culture for everyone else.  You can’t play music (even quietly), talk to your neighbor, blow up a yoga ball (to sit on) or even talk about a project without him asking for quiet. He does it to EVERYONE, even super senior people.  He even complained that one guy’s voice was “too deep.”  How the hell is he supposed to help that?!

He annoyed a freelancer so badly she screamed at him in the boardroom and then quit.  I was so jealous that she got to yell, because there’s so many things I want to say to his miserable face.

The reason I want to punch him in the face is because he’s allergic to my perfume. I have allergies so I sympathize.  So, I now only wear my favorite scent on weekends.  One day I was in a hurry and grabbed the wrong bottle and he LOST it when I got to work.  It should be noted, there’s no policy against wearing perfume and I’m just being nice for switching it.  So to have him yell at me for forgetting one day really drives me nuts.  I don’t owe that SOB anything and he’s ruining the agency for a lot of other people (a lot of us have gone to HR to complain.)

I keep hoping they move him, and if they don’t and I move or leave the company I will be so tempted to wear that perfume one last time.
