Am I the only person walking around with a cell phone full of dress pics? I’ve been dress shopping three times now at two different shops and I’ve collected quite a few pics, twice as many opinions and a garbage bag full o confusion on which way I want to go. So I’m dumping my phone of all it’s pics and my purge is now your dress porn! Enjoy 🙂
This is one of the first dresses I tried on. My shape works well in mermaids/trumpet styles and I knew that going in. It’s a horrible pic (i was kind of bent over) of a really pretty dress and I loved it for the way it showed my curves but I loved the way it poofed at the bottom more….which made me want to try on ballgowns.
So I tried on this next
Then I waited a few months. I kind of stalked bridal fashion week on IG and fell IN LOVE with this beauty. I decided I wouldn’t make a decision until I was able to at least try it on thinking I’d have to wait till Sring because it’s a fall/winter dress but when I went shopping a few weeks ago it was there. I’m still pretty obsessed with it. It’s the most ‘me’ dress I’ve tried on to date and the only dress I can really remember the way it made me feel.
Then I went shopping with my Maid/Matron of Honor at a cute little shop outside of bmore and tried on these beauties.
How can you not love the curves/waist on this one??
I was so in love with this online. Penelope at BHLDN… then I got it on and ummmm me thinks it’s a little too soft for my taste and def more appropriate for spring or garden or something (im getting married in December in the AM)

Then I tried on this and all the breath went out of my MOH’s body lol It’s the ultimate crowd favorite. It’s gotten almost 200 votes from you lovely ladies. It’s absolutely stunning I will admit and def somthing I’d love for an evening wedding I think but (sorry to break hearts) I’m not sure if it’s the THE one just yet. The waistline is a little high for my taste. It’s a size too small here so my bust is pushed up and out way more than it’d be in an appropriate size and I’m not sure if that’d make me like it more or less LOL but the right size could also drop the waist some and I’d love it. Who knows I’ll be trying it on again for sure though.
Meanwhile back at David’s Bridal… tried this on before I was able to try on the Penelope. I actually like this one more but my venue is a B&B that looks like an old vintage home and at 11am sipping on coffee and mimosas I fear I’ll feel like I’m walking around in a fancy nightgown rather than a wedding dress LOL
Didn’t care for the boning on this one… pretty though
Sweet mother of princesses this one is such a pretty dress!
A little too sessy for the morning maybe? Either way I got over the mermaid/trumpet fast but before I did…
Such a fun dress.. the sparkly pinstripes are perfect for my new years eve wedding
Another traditional number
Annnnnd last but note least another fitted. I look awesome in this dress from behind (not sure where that pic went) but from the front feels very EH to me.
Sooooooooooooooooooooo any new crowd favorites? I’m kind of at the point where I want to toss them all and start fresh. ORRRRRR buy all the dresses and have a gazillion dress changes???!!!!
No? Not a good idea???
Worth a shot…
Decided to add two pics. The first is of our venue. The second is of the “look” my groom is leaning toward. Morning suit in either grey or navy (most likely navy our colors are lilac and navy) with the ascot but no top hat or monical or walking stick (it’s a running joke with us to allow him to wear all of that but I told him if I get there and he’s carrying a stick i’ll turn back down the aisle LMBO)

I love #4 and #6 on you! Which one did you choose?

Ok, because you know I’m now stalking you and can’t resist chiming in on your dress options…you’ve definitely been holding out on us with all these pics!
That first one, Day-um girl! Bombshell! Love it, but not a favorite. Surprisingly, I really like you in the last one and the one you’ve captioned “so traditional”. They’re so simple and elegant, but that cut is made for your body! I’m not loving the metallic pinstripe one as much anymore. I’m starting to think it’s kinda prom-y looking.
The beaded top, tulle ball gown one with the amazing cleavage (that your Maid/Matron of Honor loves) is one of my top two. So perfect for how your venue sounds and looks gorgeous on you. But overall, I’m still over here waving my “TEAM ZAC POSEN” flag….

Dress # 3 – the ballgown with the straps and the dropped waist – SO BEAUTIFUL! I’m in love with how this looks on you. It gives you an amazing figure and just looks so classic wedding – I love it.

I love that satin one that you said is the most “me” dress. It looks so classy and sophisticated!

the 6th one and the last one are my favorites – but they are all beautiful on you!!! are you leaning more towards ball gown or fitted at this point!?

I didn’t take photo of me in any dresses until my dress I bought came in. It didn’t take long for me to find my dress. All those dresses look great on you. They say that when you find the one you will know because you will never want to take it off. For me I just keep wanting to try it on and when I take it off I just want to put it on again. Hope you find your perfect dress.

Thanks and that’s the problem!!! I saw a meme once that said is it me or do all wedding dresses start to look the same? LOL that’s how I feel like I want to close my eyes and point.
Thanks for the luck 🙂

dress 3 & 5 def felt the best. 3 is heavy in a way that feels royal and elegant and formal. 5 is surprisingly very light so it looks ‘heavy’ and serious but it feels airy. emotionally though those two felt the best
