@SashaUSARu:  I assume this is for a temporary visit, i.e. a tourist visa.  It doesn’t make sense. I don’t know how many people visit the USA as tourists each year, it must be millions.

What was the reason given?

I am so sorry, Big Bee Hugs.  I have no advice because I know nothing about this kind of stuff but I really hope you can get something figured out or someone here has some good advice.  Maybe worst case you can skyp them in but I know that won’t be the same.  I’m sorry for all your loses and now this gets thrown on top of it, its just terrible, if I were you I wouldn’t even know how to handle myself.  Good luck!  You are in my thoughts.

Maybe I am missing something? I didn’t realize people in Russia needed permission to travel?

@SashaUSARu:  I’m so sorry. 🙁 this just happened to my BFF with his aunt who lives in Poland. BFF’s sister wanted her to come meet her new baby, but auntie was denied the tourist visa. What is she going to do here in America, she’s in her late 60s, her pension is in Poland, her doctors are in Poland, she owns her apartment in Warsaw… and still they denied her. It is a crappy process.

@iloverocks:  Russia is afraid they won’t come BACK! It’s the case with many countries.

@SashaUSARu:  I’m sorry they can’t be there and that is so sad. I suggest skype! You won’t get the hugs 🙁 but you can see your mother and brother’s face and they can see you all done up on your day, and your grandma can watch, all live!!

I am very sorry you are going through this and I’m afraid I don’t have any advice (although I wish I did) but I wanted to post to you and tell you I have also had to go through the pain of. Y father taking his own life. It’s very traumatic and heart breaking and if you need to share anything with someone who understands please feel free to PM me on here.

i hope everything works out for you. Just remember at the end of the wedding you will have more family than you started with.
