If you can get samples to wear for a week to see how you like them. I get samples to review and really liked Bella by Nina Ricci, Black Opium by YSL, Pure XS by Paco Rabanne and Good Girl by Carolina Herrera.

From my own collection I wear Minuit à New York by Gloria Vanderbilt, Amethyst from Avon, Sexual Secret by Michel Germain, and Classique n’y Jean-Paul Gaultier.

mrsmfsh :  No problem!

I would suggest shopping at Ulta for perfume newbies. They have a label next to each perfume to show what kind of perfume it is. So you can sniff around and see if you’re drawn to florals, gourmands (sweet scents), woodsy, clean or oriental.

But places like Nordstrom, Sephora and Macy’s have way more perfume to choose from so I would graduate to stores like that for more variety.

mrsmfsh :  I live in a tiny commune in France so I get mines online the majority of my samples come from Sephora though so I’d definitely check there and Ulta. Also look at brand pages because they do giveaways sometimes.
