I want to see a photo of you on an average day vs your wedding day look (wedding photos or hair/makeup trial). I’m mostly interested in seeing if people still “look like themselves” on their wedding day.

I don’t want to post a pic for the sake of anonymity. With that being said, I wanted to look like my self, but better (as I voted in the poll). I didn’t even tan because I’m naturally pale and I wanted to look pale for my wedding day. My makeup was a more natural look. I was very pleased with the way I looked – especially when I look back on pictures.

I’m definitely glamming it up in the fact that I’m going through beauty treatments that I normally wouldn’t do. I’m still going to look like myself, but a more glam version of myself. For example, I’m getting a spray tan for my wedding because my skin color is basically the same color as my dress. It’s not extreme at all, just a basic summery glow. I also now have highlights (I’ve never dyed my hair before this), I’m getting a leg wax, and a mani/pedi (I’ve had pedicures before but it isn’t common).
When I had my make up trial I told her that I wanted to keep things natural but a step up from what I normally do. I don’t want to post pictures of my face on here, but she did a WONDERFUL job. It doesn’t look like I have much on my face at all, but she did put a lot of layers on my face. It’s a natural but glam make up look.
My mom doesn’t wear a STITCH of make up on a daily basis and rarely does her hair up all fancy, plus she has never had her hair professionally done, but I convinced her to let me pay for her to have both her hair and make up done. I told her I wanted her to feel amazing in pictures and I want her to look back and love how she looks. Not that she isn’t beautiful as she is, but I think she will like pictures of her better with a little bit of enhancement to her natural features.

Did you do your makeup yourself or did you find a MUA?

I think I looked like myself, just wedding day lovely. I did my own makeup and hair. I did go to a stylist and have a trial, but I hated it. I didn’t feel like myself. I curled my hair a little better and used my own airbrush makeup. I had a fabulous day! Not bad for an old lady! (54)

I like to think that I looked myself, but [much] better! I tried to pick similar angles/closeness for the best comparison, but one is Instagrammed and the other is professional haha.

I tried to keep things simple so I still look like myself! I really emphasized on simple and glowy makeup on the big day.
Everyday me (went shopping crazy during the Hello Kitty/Sanrio phase at H&M lol)

I wanted to look like a slightly more polished version of myself. I did my own makeup and think I did a good job keeping things simple but still with enough oomph to look nice in photos.

I love your lip color! You did a fantastic job on your day of make up! Can I ask what it is?

Just realized that the only pics on
