Glad you have reached a decision you are comfortable with. Just re read what I wrote to you a few days ago and realized I had written “it doesn’t sound masculine to me” when I meant to write “it doesn’t sound feminine to me” .Not sure how that happened and sorry I didn’t catch it at the time.

Glad you made your decision! Eden does not sound feminine at all, especially since it’s a place and should be a unisex name anyways.

I’ve known both girls and boys called Eden. It’s a lovey name, but certainly is different and will get attention.

I don’t know, I personally would prefer a plain first name like Sam, and Eden as the middle name

I kind of like the name, and it doesn’t sound girly to me in the least. It’s a very rare one, so I don’t know anyone with this name, and it doesn’t make me think boy or girl. I wonder if some people will just think it’s a variation of Aidan. And if family members are not happy, well, they’ll just get used to it.

I’m a “victim” of a rare and wacky name that had me avoid introducing myself to new people since I was little, so I’m sensitive to the effect of giving kids weird names. Eden definitely doesn’t give me this “what were they thinking” vibe. In fact, the more i think about it, the more I like it!

definitely keep the name! it’s beautiful and if it’s the chosen name, there’s a reason for it. you will regret it if you change it.

cathiemaney :  I am honestly shocked how many close minded fools have decided that their opinion matters to you. Way to go to your husband for supporting feminism, this is wonderful. Keep the name, and fudge off to the rest! If they don’t like it, they can have their own son and name them something else! Goodness.
