That’s actually not my ring, that’s a photo of another Bee’s ring that I saved from a Wedding Bee thread. I don’t remember who she was.

Here is my set with the pave anniversary band that is probably getting returned tomorrow… although now that I’m looking at it again, I’m wondering.

And here is the braided band I tried on in the store with my wedding band:

@Clairetoris:  I think that setting is beautiful and not simple at all.  It will look good with any wedding band you choose.  To answer your original question, I had to have a rectangular cut radiant for my upgrade, and a solitaire this time since I had a cluster ring before.

@Clairetoris:  Go with the setting you always come back to!! That ring is beautiful, not too simple at all. I love the blue sapphires. And don’t forget you can always get a more unique wedding band if you like πŸ™‚

If I’d anticipated my proposal I would have analyzed the crap out of my ring too. My taste changes ALL the time and some styles I thought I loved months ago I hate now/vice versa. My SO knew I was more simple at heart, so he got me an elegant/unique yet simple solitaire and I’m always grateful to have it at the end of the day. I get sick of a lot of rings but never this one! Don’t overlook what feels right to you πŸ™‚

@Clairetoris:  haha just making sure! The sapphires are set under the diamond so you see them from the side. If i hadn’t already fallen in love with another ring I would have gotten one of these πŸ™‚

@Clairetoris:  Thank you.  I don’t deserve his patience, that’s for sure, lol.  I hope you nail down exactly what you want and get it soon! πŸ™‚

That is gorgeous!!

Here are some sapphire/diamond bands that I have bookmarked over the past year or so.

I almost asked DH for this one from Macy’s… I thought it was kind of unusual because I’ve never seen marquise cut sapphires before:

And here is another example I saw on the Bee a long time ago… I cannot remember which Bee this is but I just lovvve the way she combined sapphires and diamonds in this mismatched set. I do remember she said she got it at Zales because I saved the link:

And finally, some of my favorites from Pinterest and Pricescope:

I didn’t design mine, but I did have it re-cast in white gold with some slight modifications from the ring that my grandma gave us to use for my engagement ring.

Here’s the original:

And here’s the new one:

haha this is so funny!

1) i definitely understand the procrastination for A&P πŸ™‚

2) I was the same way. Fiance told me to find something I really liked. I knew from the beginning I loved cushion cuts with halos but also toyed with the round idea. Eventually we deicded round looked strange on my finger so we went with the cushion. I must have tried on a million different halo settings but every time I found something I didn’t like… the halo stones were too chunky, it sat too high, the stones were too big, it took away from the center stone, yadda yadda… Eventually we went the custom route so that it would be absolutely perfect.

You are absolutely right in that you are going to be wearing this ring forever so you should love it. The best advice I can give is that once you find something you love, STOP LOOKING! You’ll start second guessing yourself, which is never good.
