lover27 :  Of course the US and the UK recognize each other’s marriages! Most marriages in other countries are recognized as long as performed in a legal manner

Hi Bee! I know this post is old, but wanted to ask if there is some update?

I want to say that paying things for her is not striking me as wanting to buy her love or whatever. I make more money than my fiance and I’ve always been someone that doesn’t care about money so much, so when I saw something that I could get him, which he could not afford, in order to help him, I would do it.

I know that there are some women that are so cought up in their ideas of everything concerning the wedding that they really want it to be like that to even be valid. And it can be frustrating if it doesn’t go as they imagined. BUT this is a problem she needs to solve with herself actually. I myself struggle sometimes to get over something I had envisioned so differently, as I’m kind of a perfectionist, but that’s in no way an excuse to behave towards you as she does. She needs to grow up and, as you said, understand what are the important parts. I mean it can happen, that she doesn’t like the ring and it’s ok to mention it, but not in the way she does. She is belittling you and she seems to be very spoiled. If she’s not able to get over it already and is thinking so much about what others might think and because of that is making you feel like shit, you should think about ending it.
