I didn’t have this. If you made it through the first trimester enjoying food, good for you! I hope it stays like this for you.

I was the complete opposite: everything I loved tasted terrible when I was pregnant.

Sounds like you’re one of the lucky ones! While I’ve never been pregnant myself, all the women I’m close to have had the complete opposite experience. Horrible morning (all day?) sickness and nausea and heartburn when they do eat.

So, good on you!! So glad things are going well. 🙂

I’m 10 weeks pregnant now and I am currently the complete opposite of this!

Everything I used to love just tastes bland, and whenever I get a craving for a certain type of food I almost always left dissatisfied because it didn’t live up to my hopes.

Rdhbee:  I had plenty of food aversions and nausea….but I still remember how amazing certain things tasted! One time a piece of toast with butter made my eyes roll back in my head it was so f-ing delicious. Also an icy cold coconut lemonade I had in Hawaii- holy crap it was incredible. I was really hungry my whole pregnancy (snacking at 2 am almost everynight in the third trimester!) and gained more weight that I expected, and I was also super fit and lean when I pregnant. Good luck and happy eating 🙂

I feel like my appetite hasn’t changed. Occasionally I’m a little hungrier than normal so I’ll have a snack but meal wise I’ve been the same. I’m not watching what I eat, but on the odd time I’ve felt like devouring heaps of food and people say ‘you are eating for two, you are allowed’ I’ve just reminded myself that this is not true and at this size bubs doesn’t really need me to eat any more that I normally did. I believe third trimester it’s 300 calories extra a day or something. But j haven’t had nausea, cravings or food aversions so perhaps that’s helped. My only cravings are things I can’t have, like sushi. I’m sure I’d eat my weight in sushi if I could haha

I’m in the normal BMI range but definitely on the smaller side, and I feel the same way!! Im 6w6d today and literally every meal I eat is so freaking delicious. Hopefully it stays that way and I don’t feel sick, because this is awesome!

I was starving through the first trimester and ate constantly, and put on quite a bit of weight, but most foods made me feel sick too! I just ate because I felt even more sick when I was hungry. Isn’t it funny how everyone reacts differently? Even one pregnancy is different to the next; I was much more sick with my first than my second.

I had a great first trimester with food.  My only real aversion was chicken wings.  I’m 15 weeks now, and just thinking about some foods make me a bit queezy.  I feel bad because my diet is largely starches and dairy.  I swear I was going to be healthier than this!

auggiefrog:  haha I remember back to when I found out I was pregnant and I was going to be soooo good with my diet. Lasted about a month.

My diet is all carbs and dairy! Even with my second trimester energy burst, I’m still feeling too lazy to cook decent meals.

DH has been away a lot for work and when he’s around we’ve been going out a lot. As of next week we’ve got (mostly)  a solid month at home and we swear we’re going to eat properly!

My appetite has been pretty steady…maybe even less hungry than pre-pregnancy. Pre-pregnancy I always had space for dessert and now I don’t think I could force it down even if I wanted too!

I’m waiting for the cravings and mad hunger to start!

ugh, I’m the exact opposite.  I’m 12w and absolutely nothing sounds good.  It’s sad because I used to love food.  Now I basically have to force myself to eat just because I know I need to.  I’m having serious aversions to meat, anything greasy, anything spicy, and basically anything with flavor.  I could eat saltines all day though lol.  From my 8w to my 12w appointment I lost 2 pounds.  I’m really hoping my appetite comes back soon!
