…I FREAK out and think I may be pregnant. I’m one day late (on the Pill, Darling Husband and I don’t want to TTC for another couple years) and of course, very anxious. I go through the stages of “Oh crap,” all the way to “Ok, we may be able to do this,” to “we can do this.” And by that time, Aunt Flo shows up and I’m disappointed LOL. Wtf??
Tell me I’m not alone! 🙂

@doxielove: I feel you. The timing still isn’t right for us but every ‘scare’ we’ve ever had, or every time I POAS just in case one got past my IUD and I haven’t seen AF in months, it’s negative and I can’t help being disappointed. I know, perfectly well, that it’s for the best and I part of me is relieved for obvious reasons. But still. A few years ago it was a much harder situation, we would have been screwed to wind up pregnant. Now…..now it’s just a year too soon. We could do it, but it’s not ideal. We’d have to move before we planned to and Darling Husband would finish his last semester of school with a newborn in the house. We have good reasons for waiting. But it doesn’t make it any easier. I think feeling this way is inevitable, especially when you know that you do, really want to have babies.

If it arrived late, by even just a few hours, I would start freaking out until it came, and then when it did, feel a huge sense of crushing disappointment. The things we put ourselves through…

Nah– not alone, I don’t get cycles due to a medication so I freak out at least every other month about it– even when I don’t have an excuse. Any almost-preggo symptom I might have I take a hpt.
