As some (most) of you know, I have 2 erings. One came in a set, with the wedding band included. I’d like to get a band to go with the other ring. The set is gorgeous and I love it, but it’s not comfortable for me to wear at work. The stone spins and the tiny diamonds on the band irritate my hands under my gloves (i have to wear gloves at work).
So Fiance and talked about it and he says he wont be picking out any more rings for me (he said he’s a little ringed-out :P) but he has no problem if I get a band for the other ring also. I already have his band picked out and will be purchasing it before I purchase one for myself. I have it down to a plain band and one with some deeper set accent stone (so hopefully they wont bother my fingers..)
The ring the band will be accompanying is a solitaire in palladium.
Here’s what I’ve been looking at.
Also, anyone who has experience ordering from e-weddingbands.com, your opinions on the company would be appreciated!
For reference, this is the style that my sweety would like 🙂

I would just get a plain band. You wont see it under the gloves anyways. Unless you are wanting to sport it other times & the diamonds will be missed, go for scattered diamonds!

I like the scattered diamond band. Would a bezel diamond band work? They won’t catch onto anything.

I got my fiance his wedding band from eweddingbands.com. We opted for a pladium band because it is lighter than platinum and my guy is into comfort. It is beautiful and it arrived looking just as pictured. I think they were easy to work with and a good value. I voted for the band with the diamonds…I actually considered that one for my wedding band! I tried on one like that in a jewelry store and thought it was pretty and unusual (which I like).

@tespo: I like the look of the scatter diamonds also. I agree, I like that it’s slightly unusual without being completely different for a wedding band. We have great taste 😉
@mnp: You’ll have to excuse my ignorance, but what is a bezel setting?
@Sweet.Sugar.Rose: Thansk for the input! I was thinking the saem thing, that no one will see it under the gloves. But then I thought ‘why not?’ 😛
I also foudn this one intriguing while I was cruising the internet last night..

A bezel set ring has metal that surrounds the diamond to hold it in place securely. Here’s an example:

I love, love this one
But the diamonds might still scratch your fingers. I can’t tell how “deep” they’re set. They don’t seem to go as far around the band as the one you have now, though.
I’ve tried on a very similar one with my ering (which looks like yours) and it looks great.

@les105: That’s so pretty! I’m looking for something with the stones set deeper within the band i think..
What I’m looking for is the perfect combo of style and comfort. I do like the look of a plain band, but I’d like for it to have a bit of a twist (not necesairily literally :P)
I wore the pictured ering with my other ering together on the same hand to work this week, and I now have a sore between my pinky and ring finger from the band rubbing under my gloves.

I would recommend something that is the same all the way around so it can spin and you won’t care. that photo you posted with the little twist in it is cool, but imagine how much you would want to adjust it so it’s centered all the time. that would drive me crazy.
oh also: whatever band you condider, see if it is available as a comfort fit band. they really do feel a lot more comfortable!

We bought both of our wedding bands there. We went for white gold and had them engraved. They arrived quickly with a handwritten thanks on our receipt. Id absolutely order again!
