I have the heebie jeebies big time! I want to sell my wedding dress, and after looking into the different options I decided to try and sell it locally on Craigslist because my dress is SO heavy and it would cost a ton to ship it.
So I list it, put up a few pictures from the wedding with all faces/identifying information blurred out, and crossed my fingers.
I got an e-mail from someone saying they are VERY interested in the dress and asking for more pictures. I’m at work, so I e-mail back saying that I got the email and would send some more when I get home. They then ask if I’m ok with selling it to a man. In my head, I’m picturing a gay guy who wants to wear a beautiful white dress for his wedding, so I answer “of course not! as long as you will love it as much as I did on your wedding day, I’d love to sell it to you”
Then…. it got super weird. He asked if he could have my heels I wore as well. I told him I wore flats and I actually still wear them often so I’m not interested in selling them. His next email tells me how great I fill out the dress, how I looked fabulous and asked what undergarments I wore. I wrote back and said I didn’t wear anything special underneath, it was just altered perfectly.
His response “No, I was asking because I wanted your used panties and bra. How much extra would I have to pay for those”
EWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Needless to say, I didn’t respond.
Ladies, if you’re selling your dress, please be careful where you list it. EW!

Darn, I was going to list one of my unused ones on Craigslist. Now your story has me thinking twice.

Ummm- creepy! Hopefully you can laugh about it later!
Those comments and questions were slightly unneccessary for a dress purchase… (and by slightly I’m being very sarcastic…)
Eww…

Yeah I’m sure I’ll eventually be able to laugh. Right now, still super grossed out.
I immediately deleted the listing, but knowing that he probably saved those pictures of my blurred face with my awesome fitting dress on his computer. Ew.
One of my guy coworkers was like “Dude, i’ll drop it off so you never see him and he never sees you and jack up the price since he offered to pay more. Give me $20. What does it matter to you what he does with it??” I just…. can’t. I want someone to enjoy it for their special day, not do dirty things that I’m sure he will!
