ceecee123 : I’m not entirely sure of the stats, but my ering band is 2mm, so I’m guessing my wedding band is approx. 3-3.5mm. It’s a 7 stone band with .13 ct diamonds and it sits really low, so it fits nicely under my ering and is flush with the band. We had the same jeweler who made my ering make my band, so he made sure they fit together nicely. If you didn’t work with a custom jeweler for your ering, look into it! It’s surprisingly affordable and they can make anything you want.
kayjee : I love this look – your rings are beatiful. I myself like a more daity band for the engagment ring band with the stone and a thicker wedding band. I just like the look of it and like you, i feel that i can wear the band alone if i ever wanted to. I have just recently been ring shopping with my Boyfriend to show him what I like – so fingers crossed, it’s coming soon!!!!!
Here’s my set. I’ve got the same problem in my mind. My wedding band is 3 mm. wide but I’m not married yet, so I’m also thinking of getting a tinier ring.
I think when both rings have the same fitting sets and fit together nicely it’s no big deal. Both of your rings are very lovely on their own. However, I think your engagement ring’s set looks a tad bit bigger. Maybe it’s an illusion that the wedding band’s downward edge cause.
I tried on my moms wedding band with my engagement ring.
My e-ring is 1.9mm, and my band is 3.5mm
