This is very insignificant, but I am curious what different types of trains look like on real dresses (not just drawn pictures). Feel free to post pictures of your dress with what kind of train it has, or whatever. I’d just like to see them on actual dresses. I feel like drawings can be inaccurate/hard to gauge actual length from. Thanks!
Edit: Post your height too, since that can effect the look of the train. Thanks!

@TammieRei: Ooh I was just admiring your dress in the other thread! Absolutely beautiful!

You may want to have people post their height too. My dress technically has a chapel train (sorry, don’t have a pic), but because I am 5’9″ with long legs, the train looks very short on the ground. I’d need a cathedral train for it to look like the previous poster’s, even though they are called the same thing. Trains are measured from the waist, so height makes a HUGE difference.
If I was adding much of a crinoline or wearing any sort of heel, my dress would have been too short and I would have had to order extra length.

@NAvery: Ahh, I see. I never understood the whole measured from the waist type thing, because in my head the train is the part that drags on the ground, but that would certainly explain my confusion!
So yeah, if you’d post your height too that’d be great!

@Thorns-n-Roses: Thank you! 😀
I am 5’3″ and on my tip toes in that picture 😉

They say ine is chapel, but is a bit shorter than that… I am about 5’3″ so the dress it a good 3+ inches too long on me
This isn’t my dress, but one that I tried on at a DB. The website says it chapel length, but it was a lot longer on me because I lean slightly more towards the petite side (I am wearing 3 or 4 inch heels in this pic).

I loved my train, it was so long. I am 5’9″.

Here is mine, it is Cathedral length, the same length as Kate Middleton’s dress.
Here it is bustled, She did one over bustle and two small under bustles on each side. It made the gown the same length all around when bustled. Very comfortable too.

Oh, and I am 5’7″ and add 2 inches with heels!

Ooh I am certainly seeing the different lengths of Chapel trains. Lovely dresses!
@Treejewel19: Goodness, I love your train! How long (I guess from your waist) was it? And on a random note, how many points did your bustle have (or was it a detachable train)?

I actually don’t know what you’d call it? A long train? Haha
