@Gemstone:  I would take that class! I use Excel a lot, but I feel like there are so many things I don’t know about the program!

@misspeanut:  lol! I am also an accountant. People assume I just do income taxes I tell them I’m a master of excel.

Sadly, one time I had a very indepth conversation about favorite excel functions with my friend (who is in finance) at a party. Yes, we were the nerds who were very excited to trade function favorites. LOL

I understand NOTHING about Excel, and it’s so bad b/c I work somewhere that uses it a lot. I really need to take some kind of online tutorial course so I don’t get to a point where people want me to use it at work and I’m scratching my head.

=IF(AND(TODAY=WEEKDAY),EXCEL, SLEEP) If you understand that, you spend too much time in excel!

oh yes. I literally live in Excel.

Funny story, I had never used excel before college, and my one math class made us do these projects. I may have had Darling Husband do them for me in return for me helping him with his English paper. Two summers later I landed an internship (now my job) where I worked in Excel for a good portion of my day. Karma!

Although in all honesty, I would have learned nothing from the projects, learning through my internship was a much better way to become familiar with excel.

I’m not that good at it but Darling Husband is OBSESSED. You should see our finance spreadsheet. Oh man.

He has been tracking his weight everyday for the past three years. He loves to see the changes in the line graphs. He gets this huge thrill

Yep. I married a nerd (and I love it)

@LGenz:  omg, me too! I couldn’t find ANYTHING!

@reebee:  I only fairly recently learned vlookup – I still can’t get it right on the first try! That and I’m often pulling the same list from two different sources, and one does a two digit breed code, the other one. So then I have to modify alllllllll the IDs to make the lists match up. Argh!

Woot for Excel! I got my current job because I’m great at Excel (well partly anyway :))

I love how much it can do. It’s just a freakin workhorse!

So many people have no clue what it can do. Being the best in Excel at your workplace is like being the only one in your circle of friends with a smartphone. People think you’re magic or something.

    OMG! It’s like sliced bread!

My Fiance loves excel. He’s always raving about his excel spreadsheet for our wedding expenses.

I *hate* excel. Every time I see it I get horrible flashbacks from a highschool computer class and the dreadfully boring assignments lol.
