I went in on Friday for a routine doctor appt, I had another one schedule in a couple weeks to have my IUD (paragard) removed. Well the doctor asked if I just wanted to have my IUD removed while I was there, (I’ve been putting this appt off for 3 months), still kinda in shock I agreed. I’ve been so ecstatic all weekend, because it’s actually a possibility for me to get pregnant J It’s such an exhilarating feeling to actually be on the verge of ttc. I’m near the end of my cycle this month, so this month is pretty much shot. But, next month it’s on! Any tips or advice that any of you have would be wonderful to hear.

Yeayy! Congrats on taking that first major step!
My advice is to relax and have fun. Don’t test too often or too early because it gets fustrating! Just enjoy eachother!

Very exciting news! Best of luck with TTC.
Do you like the paragard? I am considering getting one, and I would love to hear how you feel about it? TYIA!

The Paragard was awesome, it has been the best form of BC I’ve been on. I was on the Paragard due to my body not responding well to the hormones from the pill, i had the Paragard in for 2 years and never had any issues. I’ve never had children, so the insertion was a little painful, followed by regular period cramping for the first week after the insertion. After that, its been a godsend. You never have to worry about remembering to take the pill, your body isn’t being dosed with extra hormones, you can feel it (and your partner can’t feel it), you have regular periods and when you want to ttc you can have it taken out and get pregnant immediately. I defn. would recommend it. Let me know if you have any other questions: )
