Hey brides!
Soooo I started my engagement season with all guns blazing – I was going to get my weight down to 53kgs, I was going to manage my time better, I was going to make it all happen AND I was going to enjoy it.
I am four months out from the wedding, completely unmotivated to exercise and plateauing at 57, STRESSED and EXHAUSTED beyond all belief… and to top it all off, finding it extremely difficult to do my job well (I’m a high school teacher) AND to organise the wedding of my dreams. I just feel spread SOOO thin.
I really don’t know what to do – how do all the brides here deal with stress? With wanting to lose weight but just not motivated enough to get there? With trying to deal with the rest of their very busy life??

@perfectingfaith: You can do it! I know the planning stress is terrible, especially when you have a billion other things going on in your life.Somehow you’ll get through it. if you have a bridal party can you enlist their help with some things? I decided to muddle through, wanted to lose 20lbs but only lost 10 and 41 days til my wedding:) . I haven’t given up ( there were plenty of close calls though) and I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel:)

break it down one day at a time.
lists help me tremendously. what are you going to accomplish today? this week?
then write goals for weight. i don’t know what level of fitness you are. start with i will walk for 30 minutes 3 times this week. take a walk with your Fiance, there are plenty of things to do. then say, i will not eat cake this week., etc. i don’t know what 53 kgs equate to in pounds.
i am not trying to lose weight but i am finding it hard to stick my my regular exercise schedule. (i used to bike 3 days/week, run, swim, lift weights, yoga, etc.) now i’m lucky if I get one day of riding in. the weather hasn’t helped much either.
