It’s already past 8PM now. I have GOT to reply back to my vendor prospects. I was so excited to search for all of these local vendors and choose what I like (sort of like retail therapy) with the responsible part of keeping our budget in mind was a good time.
But for some reason(s) I haven’t had the same motivation to get back to aaaaall of these vendors I’ve contacted. Am I too scared to make a final decision? Do I have anxiety in declining vendor prospects?
Ugh. Photography is my priority and I’ve got the quotes I need. My resolution tonight: reply to these folks.
Sub-question: How do you decline vendor prospects that you’ve communicated with?

Ive just said thank you for your time we appreciate it very much, unfortunately weve decided to go in another direction. You dont really need to provide a reason but If you feel you must you can say its just not within your budget or it wasnt exactly what you had in mind. I have the same anxieties… I HATE calling people, I get annoyed when they wont send me the bottom line and deal with me over e-mail… I wouldnt even give people my number last night at a bridal expo… haha good luck!

@eseds: DITTO to the anxieties thing! I replied to half of the vendors last night and got replies back this morning. Still working through some, now focusing on catering. I’m the kind of person that wants/expects every detail of your business on your practical and pretty website so when it does take effort to get to the bottom line of quotes and other info it’s annoying. And, hey, even if a vendor posts prices online there is probably room for changes and negotiation.
