Sorry to say but you are legally not allowed to cover those signs! I didn’t even notice them at our venue until the owner pointed them out and stated that we COULDN’T cover them because of fire codes. Bummer!

Exit signs are generally there for a reason so your venue may not allow you to cover them. If you haven’t done so already, I would check with them before making any plans.

I also meant to add that your guests probably won’t even notice them. No one will be as scrupulous of your venue at your wedding as you feel before your wedding.

As a Firefighter, do not cover those signs! I know they are a bit of an eye sore but if you cover them and a fire/emergency of any kind occures and worse yet, someone gets hurt in the process of evacuating, ALL legal stuff is pinned to you. Imagine if the place caught fire and as a guest you can’t find your way out because the smoke/crowds are very disorientating? Not a good picture is it… So do yourself and everyone a favor and don’t cover them!

Just photoshop them out of your photos lol. Your guests will seriously not notice them while they’re enjoying the party,

can’t cover them!  That’s why they’re there!

My photographer posted a picture from my wedding the other night and the exit sign was removed.  We talked about this ahead of time and she said it was no problem.  I’m sure your photographer can do the same.
