So I’ve been needing to shed a few pounds for a while, and I found myself becoming uncomfortable with working out at the gym (for a whole slew of reasons that I won’t even get into here). Well I’ve been trying to find other ways to get in shape, and I ran across this fitness studio, just a couple miles from my house! The studio teaches exotic dance classes. Today I took my very 1st chair dancing class, and it was a blast. I also got a really amazing workout. The studio also teaches pole dancing classes, and I can’t wait to try those. I think I’m hooked! I’m so glad I’ve found this spicy new way to supplement my workout routine. If any of you bees have similar fitness centers near your house, I strongly encourage you to give it a try!

A few friends and I bought a groupon a while back for pole dancing lessons and they were a blast! It was really difficul, and I consider myself in pretty good shape, but it’s a really good work out and SO much fun!

Xpose Fitness in Annapolis and Hanover is so much fun. I love it. I was going for awhile and then tapered off. I definitely felt stronger and lost like 10lbs in the first month but gained a good amount of muscle. I think it gets a bad rap and people assume its vulgar when in fact its more about being comfortable in your own skin. Also those pole classes are HARD and so are the chair classes. I never thought working with your own body weight would create such great results. I know xpose has $5 Fridays.

@miss narwhal: I’ve wanted to take pole dancing classes for so long, but all the classes near me are so expensive. I have a house in Annapolis, so I will definitely try out one of their $5 classes! It sounds like so much fun and such a great workout!

I take pole classes at a studio near me. I signed up with a friend in the beginner class last summer and was hooked! Iv’e moved up to the advanced classes and they are always very fun and can definately be a great workout (as long as you try to). I can tell my upper body is getting much stronger, and I feel more confident in my body. I would recommend it to anyone to try, don’t be shy!

@miss narwhal: Oooh this where I go. I normally go to the one in Towson, but I was in Annapolis over the weekend, and I tried a class at the Xpose there. I’m absolutely hooked on these classes. I get a great workout, and have so much fun doing these.
