So I stopped taking BC (alesse) after the holidays. I know it can take your body a bit to get back in sync. I didn’t O the first cycle (which wasn’t a surprise), I did the second on day 16. This cycle nada so far (on day 27). But I have had days with EW CM, and a low and soft cervix, just no temperature shift.
I also just found out that I have low AMH levels, so now I’m paranoid that’s going to cause me to not O regularly.
Have others found coming off BC, or otherwise, found they don’t O every month?

I stopped BC in September and I’m still not normal. The first O was like day 73, second cycle it was day 26. I’m on day 50 of cycle 3 and still no O. My blood work and U/S are normal so I have no idea why my cycle is still so crazy. I was taking avian, the generic of alyesse.

I went off BC in January. I was expecting my body to act all wonky, but it’s continued to run like clockwork- go figure! My cycles weren’t regular before I went on BC, but now that I’m off it, I’ve been getting them almost exactly at the 28 day mark.

Mine are kinda crazy… first cycle off the pill I ovulated on Day 20 (27 day cycle total; short luteal phase, which I hear is normal for coming of the pill). Now I’m on my second cycle off the pill, and I’m on Day 38 with no ovulation. CM pattern is all over the place and no temperature shift. It’s definitely frustrating, but I do think it’s normal to experience craziness for at least a few cycles.

I don’t have any firsthand experience but my when my sister came off BC she had a lot of pain in the first month (doctor put her back on at a lower dose to wean her off) and then got preggers the second month. Good luck!

@bluebonnet: That is encouraging to hear. I’ve had EW CM on days 13, 22 and 26.
@cant.wait.to.be.mrs.d: I was worried my first period off the pill because I had brutal back cramps/aches reminiscent of when I was a pre teen. Thankfully it was just the first cycle, oh and now I know about Robax.
