I bought my dress (a Maggie Sottero Geneva) at the Massapequa store of Bridal Reflections. Now that I’m getting ready to do alterations, I’ve moved it to the NYC store because it’s more convenient for me. But I have read some not so good reviews of their alterations dept and it makes me nervous! Has anyone had any experience with them? I found another place but they can’t see me until the 21st, where as Bridal Reflections can see me on the 12th. I need my dress by June 18th because I will be out of town after that.
Any opinions will be great appreciated!!

I bought my dress there and had it altered there. The seamstress, Lee, is a total sweetheart!! She did an amazing job on my dress–it was a sample and a size 12. She altered it down to fit me (a street size 2) and it fit me like a glove. I would definitely recommend her. The only thing that I wish had been different is that I had been more vocal about making my bustle more secure. It was only attached by one button, and it got ripped out like a half hour into the reception. Other than that, no complaints at all 🙂

@hilsy85: Thank you so much! I’ll make sure to be vocal about what I want and what I don’t want. Did you find their alterations prices reasonable? Also, is Lee the only seamstress there? Maybe I could request her…

@MissKatelyn: Hmm, I don’t know if she’s the only one…but I would definitely request her! She’s this little Eastern European lady–very no-nonsense, but she was really nice.
As for prices, I actually had alterations included in the price of my dress (part of the deal they made for me buying a sample), so I don’t know what they would have been otherwise, sorry! I did have to pay extra for having a bra sewn in, but I don’t remember how much it was :/

Hi — I’m in the process of having my dress altered at bridal reflections. So far, they have been great, and I also have Lee doing my alterations. The alterations are expensive, but when I bought my dress there they put a cap on how much the total of the alterations would be (we came in just under that). I’m not sure what other seamstresses would charge, but the alterations for my dress have been $400.
