I went into both of these places for bridal flowers- and they seemed alright.  I have the same complaints as you- florists seem to want to create their vision rather than yours (I ended up doing my flowers myself- and was happy).  My one complaint about Viv’s is they seem to use a lot of greenery which I am not fond of… a place I like is Bloomz in Detroit.  I think they are a little pricey, but I like their style.

I booked Viviano’s for my 9/12/09 wedding.  Obviously, I can’t review their work on my wedding yet, but I found that my consultant listened to what I had to say and offered her suggestions based on my vision.  I told her my flower budget up front, and she made sure to stay within it…..she gave me everything I wanted and made some suggestions to glam up the centerpieces to make them look more expensive than they are!  Ultimately, the final quote came in about $200 under my budget, which was awesome.

A girl that I work with used Viviano’s for her wedding and had nothing but great things to say about the work that they did on her wedding day.

Hope this helps!

I am using emerald city design for my planning and flowers and they really work with you. they did a marvelous  job working with my ideas and executing it. they are pretty conscience of michigan’s financial state and have worked with us on that too.
