mrsdanish :  this is the exact protocol I had for my cycle except for ganirelix instead of the cetrocide but I think those do the same thing. I had 13 eggs retrieved and 3 make it to blast. One failed transfer, about to do my first frozen transfer in a few weeks. So no success to report yet but hopefully! I respond well to stims and I have heard lupron carries more of a risk of over stimulating so maybe that’s why my dr chose it for me. Hope this is the ticket for you!

mrsdanish :  that was my protocol! Good news is that if I did it again, I would use the same protocol. Bad news is that my RE would have started me on a much lower dose of everything. I wound up overstimming and getting way too many immature eggs that didn’t make it to blast. I have 2 frozen PGS normal blasts (doing a FET 9/3).

Gonal-f was super easy and the menopur burned unless I injected it slowly. The burning went away quickly. I only bruised myself once over the 10 days of stims. Pinch your skin hard and it’s easier. I was on ganarelix instead of centrotide but that was the worst one (only for 3 days). I iced my skin first and it was much better. We bought the Lupron trigger and wound up only using the HCG.

Good luck!!

mrsdanish :  I was on that protocol twice (although no Lupron trigger) and got very different results – 3 blasts the first time, 12 the second. It does seem like a lot of meds but it’s really not so bad! I hope it works well for you!!

I did that protocol – stimmed for 6-7 days with lo-dose HCG and Gonal F and then added Cetrotide for I think 4 days, and only triggered with HCG. 17 retrieved, 13 mature, 12 fertilized, 1 blast transferred, 5 frozen.

Hi! I only used the Lupron trigger, not the hcg trigger, but other than that, we had similar meds. I had 38 eggs retrieved, transferred 1 blast at a five day transfer, am freezing 12, and just got a BFP at 5dp5dt. I had to take an antibiotic the night before my egg retrieval and it made me really, really sick, so I was already feeling crappy going into egg retrieval. I honestly think if I didn’t have a bad reaction to the antibiotic, then egg retrieval would’ve been a little quicker but I was very sore and in pain for a couple of days afterwards. Good luck!!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you so much! And you probably know this, but be sure to drink lots of Gatorade. I had at least two gatorades and one Ensure per day starting when I got home from my egg retrieval because I was also at risk of OHSS. Best of luck and fingers crossed that this is your lucky cycle!
