I’m hoping to hear from anyone who has had experience purchasing a lab created sapphire and can make any recommendations. I’m looking for a medium cornflower or kashmir bluish stone for my engagement ring and care more about having a top-quality setting than a natural main stone. I’d just rather put our budget money into a platinum and diamond setting. However, I do want to be sure there aren’t major concerns about scratching and chipping more than with a natural sapphire.
The stones at BetterThanDiamond.com look beautiful but I did read one post on another site where a person had issues with scratching and damage not long after she began wearing it.
Anyone have any advice? I greatly appreciate it! Here are what I have been looking at:
Supposedly they have the exact chemical structure of a natural sapphire and so should function as one. Is that accurate?
Thanks again for any feedback!
